IYES: Lions

Ever since the days of Glow and Til Infinity, i’ve always kept a watchful iye (see what I did there…) on Josh and Melis, the UK based electronic duo. They’ve been stopping and starting over the last 2 years with music, scattered across months and months of absence and re-emerge - but now, they’ve finally released their debut EP, and my favourite track from the EP, Lions, is here.

Over here, we’ve always been a strong supporter of the duo simply because, they write good songs. They’re not a buzz band that rise and fall, and they’re not aesthetically fake, one of those dress well but sound trash type bands - but they have overall substance and energy, that a lot of other duos simply lack. Call it magic, or call it beauty, IYES have got it nailed, and if I could have a final say, I’d say they will be made up in 2016, and that’s exactly what they deserve.
