ZZ Ward: Marry Well
I miss the 'girl power' movement of the late '90s and early '00s. Back then we had Spice Girls and Destiny's Child and TLC reminding us that being a woman was rad and that we didn't need a man to pay our bills, bills, bills. Well, if you're hankering for a brand new anthem to encapsulate your non-stop badass-ness, ZZ Ward has just the song for you. "Marry Well" is exactly what all the ladies should be listening to every morning before heading off to work. While you're busy getting gussied up in an outfit you bought, in an apartment you pay for, blast this tune and remind yourself that you're the shit. This song makes me want to strut down a New York City street in 5-inch heels before walking into a high-rise office building. It makes me want to do a choreographed dance with my girlfriends in a beauty salon and it definitely makes me want to Z-snap in the face of all the haters. ZZ Ward's "Marry Well" is dripping with sass and self confidence that is guaranteed to rub off on you. It's audio courage, so enjoy liberally.
