[BEST OF 2013] Favorite Solo Artist/Group: Dev Hynes / Blood Orange

Dev Hynes has continued to deliver massive sounds on so many different levels, not just his solo efforts as Blood Orange. Last year his catalogue increased with beats from Solange, Sky Ferreira, & Mutya Keisha Siobhan (just to name a few). This year he released his sophomore record, "Cupid Deluxe" & it was a massive tastemaker favorite for the music industry. It also proved to live up to all of the hype. Blood Orange delivered a powerful punch of classic soulful tracks that will continue to be in heavy rotation for years to come. My love for Dev Hynes is eternal & it should be yours as well! NOW, if we can only get him to produce the next Fiona Apple record next year, I will be in heaven.

***Update: I am sad to report that earlier this week Dev Hynes lost his apartment, all his belongings, & his puppy to a fire in his building. His girlfriends mom set up a GoFundMe page to help rebuild his studio & gear lost. If you feel so, please donate here!
