[BEST OF 2013] Favorite Solo Artist: LIZ

My iTunes play count doesn't lie - I spin LIZ way too much. And I don't feel bad for it. At all. For the better half of 2013, Mad Decent's #1 Pop Princess has had my ear glued to her tunes. And all of this gal's songs, From the fast-paced tone-soaked 'Hush' to the romping and rolling 'Every Memory', have had me coming back time and time again.

The best part about LIZ? Her melodies. They bend, twist, and weave around the nostalgic backing tracks in just the right way. 90's influenced, but forward thinking - Old school,but modern day - hooky, but smart. You know what? Just listen. I recommend starting with U Over Them and finishing off with her entire discography.
