Coachella Q&A: Whethan

Real talk, Whethan rules. I imagine he's the kind of guy who would hide around a corner -- for minutes -- for the perfect opportunity to jump out and scare you, but also someone who'd reach his hand out to pick your ass up. His music does the same; it excites. For someone who goes through hundreds of submissions a day, Whethan is something special. So obviously we were excited to chat with him leading up to his Coachella performance that's just days away!

Where were you when you first heard you'll be playing Coachella?

In the bathtub eating flaming hot Cheetos.  

When the Coachella lineup was announced, what's the best reaction you received from a fan, friend, or family member?

My mom was pretty stoked.

Are you a Coachella newbie? If so, what are you most excited or most nervous about? If you're a veteran, what's the one story that encapsulates your most memorable Coachella experience? 

Do Lab last year, I forgot my USBs before my set and my tour manager had to run back to the house to grab them. Which he got right in time for my set. It was so crazy. 

What's in your Coachella survival bag and does that bag include any extra special add-ons for your set that we can look forward to?

I don't carry bags.

9AM: Still Sleeping
11AM: Still Sleeping
1PM: Still Sleeping
3PM: Going to the festival
5PM: Back to sleep
7PM: Still sleeping
9PM: Wake up again
11PM: Make music into the next day

Brockhampton

New Calvin Harris x Dua Lipa or Tyler the Creator Okra

If you could partner with any brand, who would it be and why?

GOLF because no one has done a collab with them and their colors are so sick.
