Phangs is an artist with an ever-growing cult fanbase (phanbase?), and it's releases like this video for his banger "Always Been U" ft. R.LUM.R that show why his gang comes flocking. The treatment is a hazy, choppy recollection of a party where the only thing that matters is getting to the person you love while all of the noise and anxieties get in the way. In the meantime, Phangs and his URL/IRL BFF R.LUM.R navigate the mess together, trying to make sense of all the extra-ness around them. The Nashville non-country scene is lucky to have these two, and now we're all the better for having an official video to our summer jam.
