[PREMIERE] Madi Sipes & The Painted Blue: Blue Jean Baby

I'll be honest, with the explosion of non-lyrical choruses and the extreme overuse of drops, I'm desperate for songs with more substance and artists who have the balls to give us something different.

Enter: Madi Sipes & The Painted Blue. From the very first percussive hit into the slick guitar riff, I knew I was in for a treat. Swaggy verses roll right into a solid pre and a catchy-as-heck chorus that feels as good as your favorite pair of blue jeans. And don't even get me started on Madi's voice. It's the perfect mix of casual, confident and compelling and I'm officially intrigued.

I wanted to write a song that captures an initial moment of attraction between strangers, and the thrill of the mystery that anticipates finding out their identity. “Blue Jean Baby” is an exploration of this suspense. With the help of our producer, Andrew Heringer, we worked to create a soundscape that perpetuates a feeling of confidence, and aims to encourage the start of a connection. Ultimately, it is the moment that turns a stranger into something more.
