[PREMIERE] Trevor James Tillery: Numb

If, by definition, "numb" means: deprived of the power of sensation, you won't want to judge Trevor James Tillery's latest single by its title.  It's anything but desensitizing.  In fact, I'd go as far as saying "Numb" is an indulgence of the senses.  Sight: Your photoreceptors will be generating colorful and bright electrical nerve impulses you'll be able to see even with your eyes closed. Hearing: There's no denying those pop vibrations propagating through the air into your inner ear. Taste: Impeccable. Smell: Pheromones, anyone? And finally, Touch: Tillery's craftsmanship will exercise the hair from your arms and feel like a million tiny, cold pinpricks in the best kind of way.

For those of you in or near 'Music City', you can catch TJT on June 24th during Nashville's Pride festival.  Click here for more info!

Lyrically, this song is about the overwhelming world we live in and its limitless options and opinions. Its easier to feel indifferent and despondent when you don’t really have a chance to sit with something and let it seep in anymore. Musically, I wanted it to feel the opposite and force myself to get up and do something about it.
