Coachella Q&A: SNBRN

I can't think of another artist whose name is more appropriately fit for a desert festival in Indio, California.  Luckily, this weekend SNBRN directs his sting to the Coachella Music and Arts Festival. If you're unfamiliar with this Los Angeles-based producer, it's time to get with the program. It's been about two years since SNBRN released "Raining," one of his first tracks that had our ears giving a double-take, where he conjured the dance gods and literal cats and dogs began to hail.  Ever-since, it's been a constant downpour of steep builds, synth hooks and chilling melodies.

We had the chance to host a Q&A with SNBRN leading up to his performance this Friday.  We covered everything from his itinerary, to what's in his travel survival bag, to what’s next on the horizon.  Check it out:

When the Coachella lineup was announced, what's the best reaction you received from a fan, friend, or family member?

Son…. Your mom and I are coming so save us spots

Are you a Coachella newbie? If so, what are you most excited or most nervous about? If you're a veteran, what's the one story that encapsulates your most memorable Coachella experience?

I’m def a Coachella veteran, been almost every year since 2007. Seeing Daft Punk Alive 2007, wish I could relive that one.

What's in your Coachella survival bag and does that bag include any extra special add-ons for your set that we can look forward to?

Flask, Cigarettes, Sunscreen, Sunglasses, Chapstick…….and Headphones/USB

Describe how you envision the day of your performance to go:

5AM: Soundcheck/Rehearsals

11AM: Breakfast

1PM: Go over my set for the 100th time

3PM: Performance

5PM: Hangout with my family

7PM: Food and run around the festival

9PM: Yuma

11PM: TBD

If you could have any celebrity front row during your show who would it be?

It’s gonna have to be Emily Ratajkowski

Out of all of your fellow Coachella artists performing, whose show are you most looking forward to watching?

I’m actually really excited to check out Hans Zimmer, but also can’t miss a Solomun set.

What was the last song you listened to on repeat?

Raffa FL - How We Do' feat. Mr. V (Re-Edit)

If you could partner with any brand, who would it be and why?

Would have to be All Saints, I’m such an advocate already lol, we could do some cool projects together.

Post-Coachella, anything exciting on the horizon we should know about and share with the universe?

Have a huge collaboration with Coyote Kisses that’s been over a year in the making ;)

Describe yourself with three emojis.
