Dua Lipa - Blow Your Mind (Mwah) (Karma Kid Remix)

Nice work, Dua Lipa. Mind blown. Added this track to our Spotify playlist last week and have had it in rotation ever since. The drop at the :54 mark I’d say is Studio 54 worthy. Whether or not disco balls or short sequined dresses with low plunging neck lines or fur coats or Andy Warhol’s latest pop art creation are your type of things, there’s no question this Karma Kid remix is everyone’s type of blow.

Beck - Wow (TOKiMONSTA Remix)

Flip “Wow” upside down and you get “Mom.” Depending on your relationship with yours, this could go one of two ways. Beck’s original, it was there for us first. Taught us the way home with a caring touch and tucked us in at night. Then you have TOKiMONSTA’s remix, a parkour enthusiast that sneaks us out at night, serves us a borderline killer dose of adrenaline and French exits out the back without warning.

Nick Pes - Sunsets

It’s that time in the evening when the sun disappears or daylight fades, and/or it’s Sydney’s Nick Pes’s new single. Either way, it’s “Sunsets” and it’s a daily ritual infused with synth pop and a spectacle you’ll want to grab your spectacles for. From the song’s initial hand claps to a rounding applause, it’s an infectious groove that’s bittersweet… but more sweet.

Anna Straker - Serious

Anna Straker ain’t messing around, and neither am I. We’re “Serious” but at the same time keeping things cool. Whatever that means to you is your prerogative. For me, I’m talking Bobby Brown circa 1998, not Britney’s 2004 version. Yes, I know she drove a car into a pool in that video. That’s exactly my point. Anna Straker is less reckless and more ruthless.

What up Pink Slip? I just finished writing about how Britney Spears drove a car into a pool, and now I’m reading you wrote “2 U” in a pool house in LA. Coincidence? Listen, it’s already been a long week and I just want to commend you for a swimmingly good track.
