Justin Jay: Hit It

An underground favorite of ours, Justin Jay, is back again with degree in hand, and his first EP - called Mom, I Graduated - since becoming a full-time artist will be coming out via the home label that bred him, Dirtybird. The protege of Claude VonStroke continues to keep his portfolio of originals diverse as possible and "Hit It" falls under his underground section. With a kick drum that could start an earthquake locked in, Justin Jay uses haunting whispers and elongated distorted vocals to really set in a dark aura. Slamming on some harsh piano chords to add the last layer of depth, "Hit It" is another piece of house that Justin Jay hypnotizes us from start to finish.
