Quigley: Post Post Apocalypse
Meet Quigley. An LA by way of Minneapolis electro-pop newcomer whose debut song "Post Post Apocalypse" sounds like Prince and M83 collaborating with Kate Bush. Written and produced by Quigley, the song comes from her debut EP, Initium (out May 8). As the singer says, the song was inspired by mass fear of the end of the world in 2012. "Then, the new year happened. It was 2013 and we were all like, "k... on with life?" I thought the world deserved a POST Post Apocalypse dance party. And that's why I wrote this song. It's a sort of way to laugh at our own mortality and the implications of being human and the fears we have about death. I encourage people to dance in the face of the unknown, not cower."
