Zara Larsson: Bad Boys

A few months back Zara Larsson released the brilliant, romping, tom-tom banging tune, Bad Boys. I don't know how I missed it when it first came out, but believe me when I say that it's entrancing. The arrangement is minimalist, held steady by a few pitched tom hits and anti-909 clapwork. And the production was helmed by one of my favorite modern producers Elof Loelv (really, go listen to his entire discography).

And, oh man - guys - think about this. If we could combine smart Elof arrangement like this with ace song and vocal talent from Zara more often I think Elof+Zara could shape up to be the kind of artist/producer dreamteam that send our hearts into the stratosphere.

I don't know what's in store for 2014, but one thing is certain. If there aren't any Zara/Elof collaborations I'm going to be one very upset music writer.
