BESTiE: Asleep On The Bus
Following up the release of their buzz worthy single and tropical-inspired video for "Pineapple" which got the Vancouver group recognition in early 2013, BESTiE follow up with "Asleep on the Bus."
A filmmaker in his own right, the accompanying music video for "Asleep on the Bus" was directed by lead singer Tristan Orchard. His short films have been screened at festivals around the world and Orchard is also a Gemini (Canada's Emmy's) nominated documentary filmmaker. The video follows the story of the song which takes the listener through the pain of the work week on Monday to the bliss of Friday.
Made in part as the group's first challenge for the Peak Performance Project (which the band was announced as a top 20 finalist of this past June), the video made it's debut on Tuesday along with a new remix of the track by the electronic dance act WMNSTUDIES. Both tracks can be downloaded for free, below.
BESTiE are currently recording with Howard Redekopp (Tegan and Sara, Mother Mother, The New Pornographers, The Zolas) and they are will release their debut EP this Fall.
