[PREMIERE] Dresage: Dinners at Home

Dresage Dinners at Home.jpg

There's beauty in being a domestic goddess. You know - an empowered woman that somehow manages to clean, cook, run a household and keep her bod tight without breaking a sweat. It's graceful and heroic, but when taken for granted... the fury can and should be real. Dresage’s "Dinners at Home" is a playful, sinful, upbeat homage to that fed up housewife. In an era where gender norms should be tossed out the window, this is an anthem. So have a listen, dance around your kitchen, and remind whoever you're graciously feeding that mutual respect is the only way to not get GOT.

I’ll be honest. I wrote ‘Dinners At Home’ about a bored housewife poisoning her husband. Super normal and not concerning right? I started messing with this strange, aggressive drum loop that felt like a heaving pair of lungs grasping for air and the song sort of came out. It’s meant to be an energetic and hypnotic conversation on gender roles in our society as sung from the perspective of a woman who is fed up and no longer willing to with be taken for granted or painted in to corners. Hope it makes your day strange and slightly wonderful.
