Saya: Played Out

It's like Mother Nature gave all the world's cool to Toronto singer Saya and I'm left just trying to hang without my voice cracking or something. That's fine. It's how it played out for me, so let's not spiral down...that. Instead, let's talk about how a relationship played out unfavorably for Saya and how it turned into her latest single. Hip-hop futurism, reggaeton beats, pop undertones, it's all there. Of the breakup, Saya explains:

The song basically highlights the series of conversations we had, with the direct words we exchanged. During the relationship I was still learning to love myself and there were many times where I allowed my ex to make me feel insignificant. I love this song because I watched it grow into something powerful and renewing in a sense. The song is a celebration of being able to accept that the relationship was done and being able to let it go.
