Soft Streak: Keep Your Face On

"More on feelings rather than drops." That's how Tori Schachne and Colton Toy describe the music they produce under the name Soft Streak. What started as a college friendship bound by their love of sharing old albums and new music discoveries, naturally led to combining musical talents to form LA's newest new music discovery. With the city's endless supply of inspiration, they embraced each other's obsessions and put pen to paper. And like LA, you can feel the diversity here, the vibrant community they're creating, and colorful brand of pop you'll want to "Keep Your Face On" for.

I wrote this song after thinking about my experience with social anxiety and imposter syndrome. I think I had been having these feelings for a while, but I was doing some top notch avoidance work in order to not acknowledge them. It’s a pretty universal thing to feel like you haven’t earned your place somewhere, or to feel out of place in a social setting. The lyrics portray a sort of an internal dialogue of how I feel in certain anxiety-inducing situations.
