Axel Mansoor: White Lies

Peter, Paul and Mary have a new honorary member. Puff the magic that is "White Lies" by Axel Mansoor and you'll time travel back to New York City in 1961 during the American folk music revival phenomenon! The song is part of the singer-songwriter's new, intimate 5-song Somerset EP predominantly of guitar and vocals, showcasing himself in the rawest form yet.

It's been an exciting year for the indie pop artist with an Emmy nomination for “Best Original Song in a Drama” for his work on ABC’s General Hospital, his solo debut single "Wasted My Love” which reached #5 on Spotify’s US Viral 50 chart, airplay from KCRW, praise from popular music blogs, performances to packed rooms in Los Angeles at renowned venues such as Hotel Cafe, Peppermint Club and the Regent Theater, and picking up over a million streams along the way, and counting!

The stripped approach won’t necessarily appeal to everyone, but honestly I prefer it that way. I want to be brave enough to stand by work that could be polarizing. This EP is for the hardcore few, the ones who connect with my songs, my message, and the medium so deeply that they’ll treasure it. As long as those people are out there, I’ll know I created something with lasting substance.
