These days, Broadway musicals aren't just show tunes accompanied by animated facial expressions and jazz hands. They're also an extension of today's pop culture and after hearing "I Go" by British-Zimbabwean artist KWAYE, something says we need a full 90 minute production of exactly these kind of upbeat, rhythm-led summer jams with RnB and dancehall influences. Fun fact: KWAYE studied African-American Studies at UCLA and was first discovered by an Uber driver with connections to his now-label home Mind of a Genius. So the cast already includes two main characters and a record label. Ready the curtain and a bunch of broken legs.

‘I Go’ tells two sides of a relationship that becomes divided by distance. It was inspired by the by my first trip from London to LA - leaving everything I knew behind, but feeling excited in the of anticipation of things to come.
