Coachella Q&A: The Regrettes
Their music aside, I just want to hang out with The Regrettes. Our brazen and unabashed attitudes would either have onlookers rooting for us or against. No in between. And that's A-OK with us because we know what side of the fight we're on, and have no time to waste on those misguided.
We had the opportunity to send questions to Lydi Night, frontwoman for the LA-based pop-punk four-piece, and got some insight on what to expect around their upcoming Coachella performances. Check out the Q&A, below!
Where were you when you first heard you'll be playing Coachella?
I was in the studio with the whole band and our managers called us up and told us on speaker phone. I think I cried.
When the Coachella lineup was announced, what's the best reaction you received from a fan, friend, or family member?
I can’t remember a specific one because I was just getting so much love from all over. It was super heartwarming and wasn’t expecting it.
Are you a Coachella newbie? If so, what are you most excited or most nervous about?
I’ve actually been twice in the past but definitely a newbie to performing.
What's in your Coachella survival bag and does that bag include any extra special add-ons for your set that we can look forward to?
Loooots and water, homemade salad dressing (since I’m doing the whole30 right now), my stuffed lamb, and sunscreen. Oh and obviously my phone.
Describe how you envision the day of your performance to go:
9AM: still asleep for sure
11AM: eating some breakfast, most likely eggs and avocado
1PM: arriving at the fest and getting into our dressing room
3PM: watching bands
5PM: getting ready and doing a nervous dance
7PM: performing!
9PM: watching bands
11PM: watching bands
If you could have any celebrity front row during your show who would it be?
Oh man, probably St.Vincent. She is the COOLEST.
Out of all of your fellow Coachella artists performing, whose show are you most looking forward to watching?
Cardi B, SZA, Fidlar, Beyonce, St.Vincent, Cherry Glazerr, and probably a bunch more that I’m just forgetting.
What was the last song you listened to on repeat?
“Music When The Lights Go Out” by The Libertines
If you could partner with any brand, who would it be and why?
Hm I looooove Asos and also Jeffrey Campbell.
Post-Coachella, anything exciting on the horizon we should know about and share with the universe?
A lot more touring that will be announced v soon!
