KHAI: For You

It's only Tuesday but Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Kahi's latest delivery of chilled-out electronic R&B just landed in my ears and "For You" feels like a sign For Me to hang up the do not disturb sign, ie put up an out of office reply. With that said, sorry if my it gives anyone false hope of my swift and enthusiastic response, but I'll be busy in an oasis of low-fi hip-hop, alternative R&B, and psych/indie rock -- don't wait up. For those receiving what Kahi is serving, the track's psychedelic, soulful vibe is a preview of what is poised to be an active year of releases for the Missouri-born artist, including a debut LP slated for later this year.
