This weekend, I was given ultimate power: control of the radio on an Uber drive from Silver Lake to West Hollywood, an 8-mile stretch of unavoidable and usually unforgiving traffic. "Now that I'm an in-demand Los Angeles DJ," I thought, "What track do I begin my set with?" It took all of no seconds scrolling through KKS's Spotify playlist to land on EVAN GIIA's "WESTWORLD." Pushing play, the first 50 seconds does an amazing job at building suspense, but doesn't give away what the drop delivers at the :50 mark. In fact, it's the opposite of stealing any thunder; the perfect swell to the most perfect thunderous clap. We're talking snake-in-a-basket type of hypnotism for all listeners of the world north, south, east and or west.
