Cardiknox: Bad Boys

As a gentleman, I'm well-aware of my counterpart: the bad boys.  Even when their raggedy jackets smell like cheap cologne and cigarettes (see: lyrics), they seem to keep the upper hand. Some people just hate to love and love to hate, which basically means gentlemen get a bad rap. The latest single from Cardiknox helps come to terms with this. It's anthemic grit-pop which turns out was inspired by the duo's music-obsessed dads who filled their childhoods with record-collecting classic rock and pop. So it's only natural these two would take on such a song -- it's in their blood.

Bad Boys, more than any other song we’ve written, feels in a lot of ways like an homage to all the music our dads played for us as kids. The disco tropes and retro feel bring me right back to my childhood living room, with my dad flipping records and showing me what it was to truly love music.
