Erin McCarley: DieDieDie
Remember during grade school days, specifically P.E. class, when the teacher would appoint two captains to pick teams? Let's just say if I were a captain with Erin McCarley in my class, she'd be my MVP. Whatever the game, there's no doubt our strategies would instantly align and whatever got in our way would end up in the nurse's office.
Case in point, McCarley's latest single, "DieDieDie," is about not laying down and letting yourself get run over. Learning that the song was written last year following the embarrassing presidential election makes me love her even more. To the extent I'm about to grab some poster board, a Sharpie, glitter, you name it, and making some signs with awakening and resistance mantras to parade around.
