KKS: Tune In 002

Emily Zeck - Two Cents (Ice Cream Song)

In my imaginary world I try not to get out of bed for less than $20K.  Unless there's ice cream involved.  In that case, I'll toss that duvet across the room, drain my accounts and give you my dog.  We're talking mint chocolate chip though, right?  Well, ready the Reddi Wip for the new scooper in town, Emily Zeck, and her non-dairy, non-GMO, certified vegan, and gluten free desert of a single, "Two Cents (Ice Cream Song)."

RAC - I Still Wanna Know ft. Rivers Cuomo

Do we know how RAC got his superpowers?  I've been wondering for years but I still wanna know that.  Maybe he got electrocuted by an amp similar to how Spiderman got bit in a lab and is now a meta-human. Come on, this would explain a lot.  For his latest display of impossibleness, the music defender teams up with vocalist Rivers Cuomo and saves the day with "I Still Wanna Know."

Mielo - All We've Lost (Feat. Danél)

Or all we've won? That's my feeling per Chicago-based artist Mielo's latest single, "All We've Lost," featuring Danél.  What may be a heartfelt piece driven by an uplifting melody to some, is my new anthem dressed up in glitchy, electric guitar-replicated synth couture. Either way, someone gets a trophy with their name engraved on it and gets to take their place on top of the winner's podium.  This song is a perfect 10.

Transviolet - Future (Christofi Remix)

Showing other remixers what's up is Christofi with his take on Transviolet's "Future."  For Americans, playing this uplifting indie-pop summer house anthem at max volume almost makes you forget that our future is likely doomed.  I guess you can't win them all.  Someone call Anonymous and have them hack our president's Twitter and post this song on his behalf. Maybe his devoted followers will all dance themselves right off a cliff.  The power of music, people!

Laurel Laxxes - Polar Eyes (Feat. Angie Hudson)

The title of Laurel Laxxes's latest single, which features vocalist Angie Hudson, is "about viewing a relationship between two people that you care about from the outside. Seeing the contradicting ways they act towards each other and witnessing the positive and negative habits of their behavior and actions.” If you've ever been a third wheel, you've likely witnessed that.  For me, I have so many personalities I can't deny or confirm my role in any of this, but I can say "Polar Eyes" is a welcome departure from hearing another tropical "banger." So thanks to whichever couple forced Laurel and or Angie into a corner -- we got a pretty solid tune out of your lack of composure.
