Hello. Tuesday. Remixes.
Lauv - The Other (Eden Prince Remix)
Are you responsible for one of the fifty million streams of Lauv's single "The Other"? I am. Well, good news: the LA-based producer recently unveiled its accompanying remix package to further fuel our obsession. It was tough to choose just one to feature but we landed on Eden Prince whose rendition so smoothly compliments the slow-burning fusion of R&B and alternative-pop in the original, while injecting a pure shot of adrenaline that has my heart pumping and head nodding. Check out the full bundle here.
Enya - Only Time (Manila Killa Edit)
Listening to Manilla Killa's re-imagination of Enya's "Only Time," all I can say is that it's escapism at its finest. Like Elsa in Frozen, I imagine Enya dressed daily in garments made up of millions of starry snow-flakes that flow behind her as she floats from room to room. Now she can float her ass to the festival main stage, perhaps now with a flower crown made of lasers and confetti.
Shy Girls - Trivial Motion (PREP Remix)
Eclectic London quartet PREP deliver heaps of funk with their official rework of Shy Girls's "Trivial Motion." Listen, no motion is trivial if heartfelt. So, just let those featherbrained moves fall victim to these lush sounds and don't hold back on the account of those standing still.
Cosella & Vanilla Ace - Funk To The Brain (Treasure Fingers Remix)
Move over Tylenol, Treasure Fingers have a new remix of Cosella & Vanilla Ace's "Funk To The Brain" that is truly extra strength. Here, classic meets club with hints of G-House and bass music that should be mixed with alcohol (responsibly). Get your fingers on this treasure but remember to share the wealth.
