[PREMIERE] wayfarers: KINGS

As a big fan of the television drama series The Royals, I'd like to pretend for 3:05 minutes that I'm running down the halls of the Palace with Princess Eleanor while wayfarers's new single, "KINGS," is blaring over the intercom.  We're talking Fabergé eggs flying, paintings tagged with graffiti, all vases in our path standing no chance.  Not since Marie Antoinette would there be so much anarchy in the monarchy!  In the very least, the show should license the song for Season 4 which may not bring my escapist fantasy to fruition, but would be a fair compromise.

Whether you're a princess in a palace or record store owner, this indie-pop duo consisting of vocalist Katie Cecil and multi-instrumentalist Anthony Purpura deliver music that will make any casual listener feel like royalty.

‘KINGS’ is a more mature look into our creative brain, while staying true to its upbeat and infectious roots. A more minimalistic approach to production than a few of our earlier songs, ‘KINGS’ leaves room for the melody to shine above all else. Lyrically, ‘KINGS’ paints a picture of a young recklessness, being inspired by music, and it making you almost invincible; kings of the record store.
