CHAI KHAT: Hail Satin

I think I was concentrating so hard on pronouncing CHAI KNAT's band name that I glossed over the "Hail Satin" song title. Well, I'm committed now sooooo I'll just clarify I'm not religious *points up and down* and remind you to please keep your hands and arms inside this vehicle at all times. It's early Monday, so please bear with me.

I'm getting a pretty even split between Psycho Beach Party vibes, swapping 60s for 80s but keeping the slasher horror film backdrop, in Malibu, framed by Patrick Nagel illustrations on giant canvases. Everyone is sexually aggressive, and foul-speaking, and likely to become a suspect at some part of the evening. You can feel the tension in the salty air, shoulders on tight - tighter than the next girl's perm, yet, everyone and their distinctive styles are "all in" with moves that are so art deco.
