FØRD Feat. Rya Park: Oblivion
"Oblivion" by FØRD, featuring singer Rya Park, is an original with originality and a welcome departure from a predictable formulaic structure that most songs populating (and polluting) the electronic genre are producing. Lush synths, beats that punch, and haunting vocals combine to bring you a near-perfect modern pop song. Contrary to the title, with this song playing on max volume, I'm thoroughly aware and conscious of what is happening, and on board while FØRD continues to make a splash.
"The song is about the realisation of the end of a relationship and the possible end of the world that comes with that. To offset the intensity of the lyrics I wanted to lighten up the music with some playful, almost music-box type sounds." - FØRD
