TheThursday Bundle: 110316
TheThursday bundle, just in time for the weekend with artwork inspired by TheWeeknd’s second mixtape, ‘Thursday.’ A mouthful, I know, but luckily an earful, too!

Kiiara - "Feels" (Official Video)
I give credit where credit is due and kiiara gets a black AMEX card for her latest offering. The Andrew Donoho-directed music video for “Feels” raises the bar and the roof quite literally. Follow the young singer through a twisted daydream reminiscent of Wonderland’s Alice falling down a rabbit hole, except in the case, kiiara is the caterpillar in the process of growing wings.

Erin McCarley - Good
Erin McCarley’s “Good” is not good. It’s great. It’s actually better than great. It’s perfect and I am so thankful for it. On a whim, I added the song to our Spotify playlist on Friday and it didn’t take long to move to our #1 slot. If you’re having a not-so-okay day, find yourself driving with a decent set of car speakers (shot out to my Prius!), and need a song to grab onto and crossover deep into don’t-fuck-with-me status, this is that.

Zella Day - Man On The Moon
The latest from Zella Day is out of this world. Ha! Someone call Buzz Lightyear and let him know he has a new favorite song. “Man On The Moon” is one of those sneak-attack songs that you’ll find yourself Shazaming and then being followed by in your dreams. Moon reference aside, this one’s a trip worth taking.

Molly Moore - Indigo
The color indigo is said to be the color of intuition and perception. Molly Moore’s latest single seems to look beyond the normal senses with great powers of perception, so the “Indigo” title fits. The song’s tag line, “I'm an avalanche and I just wanna dance,” segues into vibrant horn sections reminiscent of Lily Allen’s “LDN,” another great song that leaves a mark.

Alice Jemima - Electric
You can't see it (it's “Electric”!), you gotta feel it (it’s Alice Jemima), ooh…. Sorry, but Marcia Griffiths you need to step off the stage and make room for a new charged-up singer with a powerful, yet chill, song. Proceed with caution because I caught myself around the 1:15 mark nodding my head and making some ridiculous expressions on my face that any poor onlooker would probably wish they could unsee.

Laura Welsh - Red
Girl, I keep seeing red, too. It’s not us, right? It's them. It’s totally them taking our natural soft white auras and pouring their 48-ounce glasses of Kool-Aid on our heads. I tell you what though, I would challenge anyone who said they wanted to be Laura Welsh's enemy. The looks, the voice, the music, she really is the full package. I say just flip the switch and put on a bold "Red" lipstick and flash that mega-watt smile in retaliation. Laura, not me.

Rodes Rollins - Young & Thriving
Listening to “Young & Thriving” by Rodes Rollins takes me back, like before I was born, sometime during the early 70s. The fashion is flowery and fluorescent and someone nearby is smoking some really really good shit. Albeit this is an imaginary time-travel, it sure is feeling homey and I’m good to stick around at least until the needle slides off the record.
