GRiZ Feat. Brasstracks & Eric Krasno: Gotta Push On

As a young kid, I'd often have to fight my sister for control of the radio. There wasn't a day when my dad would drive us to our after school activities without a war between pop (me) and country. I literally HATED that my sister listened to such a genre that I would throw tantrums, kick seats, throw shit out of the window. One day, my dad met his breaking point, told us both to kindly shut (the f*ck) up and turned his Boz Scaggs cassette on so loud all I can remember is being in complete shock. That, and sorta impressed, not by Boz Scaggs but by my dad laying down the law. In any case, "Gotta Push On," the latest single by GRiZ, featuring Brasstracks and Eric Krasno, reminded me of the above because I think with all its different genres fresh-squeezed into one, it would have been a song our whole carpool would have agreed on.
