Wednesday Wake-Up Call
☎️☎️☎️☎️ This is your Wednesday wake-up call ⏰⏰⏰⏰
BAYNK - Find You
On Friday, when I added BAYNK's "Find You" to our Spotify playlist it was because the song instantly resonated. It walked right up to my heart's front door, and proceeded through with camping gear in tow. The welcome mat never made more sense. What wasn't instantly realized was this obsession that I'd have over the song. Some songs you feel, and some songs you FEEL. This one's in all CAPS for me.
Arkells - Private School (Robert DeLong Remix)
"I just want to love you, but it's so hard" has been my motto all week. Maybe I should just add a link to Robert DeLong's remix of "Private School" by Arkells in my email signature? My subtle way of letting those hard-to-love know what's up, and at the same time giving them a gift basket groove that they leave with.
FELIX SNOW - Those Nights
It doesn't get better than Felix Snow. What else can I say. There's Old Navy, and there's Gucci. There's nothing wrong with fleece but some of us just prefer world class luxury. Listen to Snow's latest release called "Those Night" featuring a vast crew of RaShaun, TYSM, Reckless, Croosh, Sean Roxs and Mother Nature probably deserves a shot-out, too.
KILTER - They Don't Know Us
Let's be honest, KILTER's "They Don't Know Us" has a lot going on, maybe too much for some. Sleek production that skirts a number of genres from summery indie to electronic with tropical hues, upfront vocal jabs, with synths and a hand clap that Uber us home. Honesty Part 2: Maybe "they" aren't worth letting them get to know "us"? (Edit: omit "Maybe")
Gigamesh - History (Ft. Damon C Scott)
I'd say Gigamesh already made history with his remix of Deee-lite's "Groove Is In The Heart." If you haven't heard it, Google it and you can thank me with a fresh batch of chocolate chip cookies. Maybe add a tall glass of milk since we're doubling down here with two servings, the second being Gigamesh's latest track, "History," that features Damon C Scott.
