Saux: Save The World
At 22, I was busy trying to save myself from alcohol poisoning and overdraft fees. While those are admirable goals, I'm going to go out on a limb and side with 22-year-old producer and Amsterdammer Saux whose new single sets out to "Save The World."
Inspired by left-field disco, tropical music and contemporary pop, his combined sound lands somewhere between 1AM and half past a round of tropical tequila shots. In other words, the window of opportunity where most people are confronted with bad decision-making. All jokes aside, while Saux's chilling harmonies and gospel undertones alone is enough to make any casual listener an immediate devotee, it's his musical DNA that brings people together and what sets him apart.
"Musically it's a melting pot – it’s my interpretation of many different influences. Sound-wise it's my way of trying to capture a warm saturated sound with few layers like the old Arthur Russell disco records or South African 70's pop. The song talks about how relationships can be influenced so much by emotional and physical distance." - Saux
