Adele: Send My Love (Music Video)
The premiere of Adele's new music video, "Send My Love (To Your New Lover)," was the best part of last night's Billboard Music Awards, and - same as the singer's acceptance speeches - it was pre-recorded. Trust me, I had high hopes, in fact, my expectations were McMansion-sized, I even ordered dinner via Postmates which always ends up being $1.5M. I did not care. Sadly, many of the performers and presenters last night did not seem to care either, or they cared way too much which resulted in the same. From Britney's anticlimactic opening performance (I'm sorry, hasn't she been performing like every day for months and months?) featuring micro moves - even the hair whips - and a whole lot of walking, to Pink and her predictable rock n roll swing set complete with pyrotechnics and a costume years her junior, and most distracting of all, Ciara's damn costume changes, amirite? On a good note, DNCE helped save the Jonas name, Celine is a GODDESS and Madonna managed to not get mauled by angry Prince fans. I actually thought using Nothing Compares 2 U was pretty clever, and pairing with a Stevie Wonder cameo helped digesting the whole show a little less painful.
