Who Runs The World?

girl leads ...Beyoncé, obviously, but if I drink anymore Lemonade all that acidic and sugary goodness sounds like the perfect recipe for a cavity. But keeping with the question at hand, these girls have me willfully surrendering my attention, and I'm ready to follow their lead, their direction, their every move without question. As a nod to their art, I felt framing them within a Piet Mondrian was fitting. Art on art on art on art on art on art...

Elle Watson - Losing Any Sleep

One sec, I'm busy printing out the lyrics to Elle Watson's "Losing Any Sleep" and about to drive over to Dr. Woo to have them tattooed on me. Not to bring Angelina Jolie into where she doesn't belong, but I remember reading that her first tattoo was the Japanese symbol for Death to remind her to live. Well, this is sorta similar in that my new tattoo will remind me to not sweat the small stuff, and to spend more time not losing an sleep on my Tempurpedic mattress.

Bo Rocha - Hold My Gaze

Witch! I mean, Bo Rocha must be one cause I'm spellbound. Someone call Prue (Shannon Doherty's character in Charmed) and let her know to run and hide. There's a new head *itch in charge and that's Bo Rocha, and her latest single is right out of Merlin's most trusted book and forces onlookers to hold. their. gaze.

Alice Jemima - Liquorice

I bet Ladybug Mecca from the Digable Planets is an Alice Jemima fan. What I'd give to chill with them all in a Brooklyn speakeasy or some undisclosed jazz bar only the hippest hipsters know about while everyone takes turns behind the microphone. AND liquorice is my favorite candy so there's that, too.

Sara Hartman - Satellite

Sometimes you just know, you know, you know? Sara Hartman, I will love you back if you let me. I'll DM you my coordinates to plug into your satellite. Beam me up and then let's beam somewhere together and tell no one and just go, go go!

Violet Days - Your Girl

Violet Days should change her name to Technicolor Days. Her voice is incredible and the production value of her new single "Your Girl" is top shelf. Listening to the lyrics, I'm like "can we hang out? because that's what bffs do and that's what we are now, OK?" But seriously, I'm so impressed. I'm sick as a dog on the couch right now, literally hating on EVERYONE, but Violet Days made me feel like I was at my best...that is, until the song stopped.
