Coachella Q&A: Autograf

Oh man, what’s left to say about Autograf at this point? We’ve been writing about them since the very beginning. Between their official remixes, bootleg bangers, and delectable original singles, it’s been a wild ride hearing this Chicago trio evolve, but we’re finally getting a taste of a proper Autograf release - and now they're playing Coachella?! From the buoyant title track Future Soup to bubbly romp that is Horizons, thier EP delivers with a fully realized, fully future soup sound. Plus, the EP is named Future Soup. I mean, c’mon. That’s amazing.

We hosted a Q&A with the guys leading up to their performance at the infamous Coachella Music Festival covering their reaction, what's in their travel survival bag, and which fellow-performer they're most excited to see. Check it out:

1. When the Coachella lineup was announced, what's the best reaction you received from a fan, friend, or family member?

There was a huge out-pour of people telling us how much they love the DoLab stage and how the vibes there are the best in the whole festival. We felt really excited about that. Oh and of course, everyone was hitting us up for guest list spots! haha.

2. Are you a Coachella newbie? If so, what are you most excited or most nervous about? If you're a veteran, what's the one story that encapsulates your past Coachella experience? You know, the tale that all your friends make you tell over and over again.

First time for all three of us. I think one of the nights we are going to try to camp to get the full experience of being at the festival — we're both excited and nervous for that.

3. What's in your Coachella survival bag and does that bag include any extra special add-ons for your set that we can look forward to?

Lots of coconut water! We're working on some new live elements for the show and we hope we'll be able to debut them!

4. What fellow Coachella artist are you most likely to watch front & center both weekends?

We're really excited to check out Despacio and how they plan to set that up at Coachella!

5. Post-Coachella, anything exciting on the horizon we should know about and share with the universe? Do you promise to tell KKS next time you play in LA? Pinky promise?

We can’t wait for all the other festivals we are playing and planning out a big fall tour with one of our buddies — we can't wait to give you more details!
