SAYA: Wet Dreams

First glance at the single cover for newcomer SAYA’s debut “Wet Dreams” and you may be lead to believe you’re about to hit play on the blogosphere’s latest slut-pop corker. Instead, the 20-year-old Toronto native delivers a smooth and clever downtempo-disco moment that is as classy as it is sassy.

Over a minimal R&B beat reminiscent of the more upbeat moments from RHYE or Jessie Ware, SAYA croons with the laid back indie-pop sensibility of a Lana or a Lykke but with a vocal as smooth as a Lily.

“Dreams” is hopefully just the first of more emissions to follow from this newcomer.
