Andra Day: Rise Up (JR Nelson Remix)

Admittedly, I'm not too familiar with Andra Day. To her fans, I know and I'm sorry, I need to RISE UP. American soul, R&B, jazz and blues aren't really my areas of expertise, but I'm just going to ask for everyone's forgiveness and to let me in on the party now. What sparked my interest was JR Nelson's remix of "Rise Up." I thought, "I bet this is a case where the remix is better than the original." But the pair pack quite the one-two punch, with equal sting, and basically win at everything. People ask me ALL THE TIME to keep an eye out for vocalists to top line on their EDM tracks. No doubt, Andra Day is the kind of vocalist they're all after, and who could blame them.
