Joanna Newsom: Divers

In a world of singles and tracks and one-offs, Joanna Newsom's "Divers" is fully realized album meant to be heard altogether and in sequence. Divers is definitely ethereal and fairy-like. It's a thought out story and whether you listen closely to every lyric or zone out and let whimsical harps take you to another level, it's consistent and natural with a beginning, middle, and end. Joanna's voice and style remind me of Disney's Frozen for adults. Like, once 5-year-old girls transition out of their princess phase and toss their "Let It Go' karaoke DVDs out the window, this is totally the natural next step. Basically, Divers is for mature princesses and woodland creatures.
