Monogem: Gone

monogem Okay, who pissed MONOGEM off? I may not be one of the single ladies (not single, nor a lady) who singer-songwriter Jen Hirsh had in mind when creating this ode to independence, but I'm all for empowerment to the nth degree, especially when backed by strong vocals, dreamy harmonies, and dance-driven synths.

"I wrote 'Gone' with all of my single ladies in mind," says MONOGEM. "I wanted to give my girls something to sing to every asshole they've dated to easily say 'BITCH! I'm out!.' I really love the production on this track; it shimmers and sparkles in a way that gives it so much life and imagery."
