IYES: Gone

Glow was one of the biggest tracks on our blog-airwaves in 2013 when the duo IYES released it sporadically on their soundcloud, to the acclaim and praise of many, including Majestic Casual. It featured steel pan drums, crystal-clear clicks and a hook that’d leave you wanting more, more and some more…

Now, 2015 is here, and we’re closer to the end than the beginning, and IYES have been releasing their EP’s via their record label Love by Mistake, gaining momentum, fans including Chloe Moretz and Hype Machine Top 10’s. Lessons was their latest release, and it seemed to spread everywhere once again, but upon first listen of their new release, Gone, I’ve come to realize that IYES are not a one, two or three-hit-wonder, yet they seem to be truly making their mark on the music industry by releasing potential hit after hit.

Similar in sounds to Glow, Gone manage to manifest itself from slow and building to fast and climatic within it’s 3-minute structure, and boy, is it a banger! If this one doesn’t climb the charts, who knows what can? IYES truly are one in a billion, and i’m sure most of their competition shall be gone and out of sight in a flash if they keep this up…
