Crooked Colours: Step

Crooked Colours - Step Aussie band Crooked Colours are at it again. With twisted sine waves, brooding vocals, and sublime percussion this band from down under shows us how to get down and stay down. Comprised of Phil Slabber, Leon Debaughn and Liam Merret-Park, their sound has oft been compared to a combination of English indie-rock foursome Alt-J and US electronic duo Crystal Castles. On their latest, Step, the three-piece laces breathy drops with vacuum sealed sound effects, resulting in a hazy chorus that will have you stepping back for more.

Crooked Colours are heading overseas for the first time this month having been invited to perform at Culture Collide Festival in Los Angeles and CMJ Music Marathon in New York. Don't miss it.
