IYES: Lessons

And within a mere 2 weeks since their debut EP Part One dropped, Brighton/Berlin based IYES are back with the first sensational track of their second 4-track offering; the song named Lessons. I feel that once again, IYES are displaying exactly why any and every publisher should be knocking at their door; the music is diverse yet always without fail superb-pop - the formula of two-to-four minute pop songs, with emotional yet poetic lyrics, a solid catchiness within every piece, and the most adventurous productions.

IYES, forming in late 2012, have been a true favorite for the blog world for a while, and now with the RnB-Pop-Jazz tinged Lessons, they’re embarking on another journey into the minds of many music geeks, as well as fellow bloggers sleep deprived brains… the piano break really struck me, given it’s something that really does create such an opposing yet congratulating sound to their previous dance-related vibes. Once again though, IYES have done it, i’ll be humming this one for weeks to come
