[PREMIERE] La Roux: Bulletproof (You&Me Remix)

No better time to throwback to La Roux's infectious 2009 hit "Bulletproof" than a gorgeous Thursday morning in Los Angeles. Luckily I'm in West Hollywood and not East LA so I don't have to be worried about literally being bulletproof, but new production duo on the block You&Me do deliver quite the one-two punch with their progressive, indie-electro take on the song. Respectfully, You&Me is based on the concept that it doesn't matter who you are, it's the music that brings us together. So You=anyone and Me=anyone but whoever those two entities are, they are connected through this shared love of electronic music. So while technically this is a re-branding of a duo with past Hypem #1's and other successes, the entire focus is placed on their irresistible hooks and stunning songwriting that celebrates 90s house, seventies disco and futuristic electronics while maintaining the magic of classic pop songwriting.
