Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz LP
My hacker skills suck and for the life of me I couldn't figure out how to embed "Dooo It!" on its own. So, the whole free Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz LP it is. More on that, but first...
Everyone is certainly entitled to their own opinion on last night's VMAs - mine is "there was an overwhelming amount of flair but lacked the substance as I was hoping for." I think Miley did a phenomenal job hosting and for the amount of weed she so openly smokes, she continues to run circles around last night's surrounding artists in regards to making a worthy impact. And why MTV feels such a need to distract every potential moment with either seizure-inducing strobe lights or not-so shocking artist feuds is beyond me. I mean, MTV hosting a music video related show alone is pretty comical at best so this isn't a battle I'm picking by any means.
Back to Miley. Arguable is her way she portrays herself at times, yes. But when I was a teenager stepping into adulthood, I didn't have an artist putting herself out there like this and at the same time promoting such open love and acceptance who I could look up to. For that, I applaud her. And I follow that with a giant in-all-caps HELL YEAH for her closing number to "Dooo It!" which was a queer extravaganza only she could pull off in such a mainstreamed affair.
