The Bird and the Bee: Los Angeles (Music Video)
I've lived in LA for 12 years. It's been my home my entire adult life. And every time you meet someone in this town they'll want to know where you came from and what you do for a living. It's the ultimate small talk and it covers your bases. The real questions are "What weird suburban town did you flee from to get here?" and "Can your job be beneficial to my career?" It's the big city line of questioning. Maybe that's why I like The Bird and the Bee's tune "Los Angeles" so much. It's tongue in cheek. It's sassy, but also a song and video of appreciation to LA. Also, I just like watching any video or movie where I can go OH I recognize that place. I've totally been there. It's a weird compulsion or something. It's why I've watched YES MAN twice. If you're from LA or live in LA you'll like this song and video. If you aren't a resident or hometowner you'll like it because you can go "Ugh LA people. Amirite?"
