Nicole & Zuri - Hip Hop Cover Series

The last vocalist to hit like that was Phoebe Ryan, and now Australia comes out swinging with the pairing of Nicole Millar and Zuri Akko. The duo share vocal duties on a super vibed out collection of covers, including tracks by Shlomo, Mya, and 50 Cent. The production is on a hazy future r&b kick, and Nicole & Zuri provide the perfect compliment. Their vocals are smokey and sensual, sitting comfortably in a wash of reverb and scattered percussion. Their “21 Questions” cover is particularly impressive. The duo is gearing up to release some originals soon as well, which we can’t wait to hear. Listen below:
