[ALBUM PREMIERE] White Prism

WPWhite Prism, the musical alter-ego of Australian-born artist Johanna Cranitch, possesses a raw genuine nature that paired with a diverse vocal skill has her poised to be the heir-apparent to electro-royalty Kate Bush.

Surrounded by music since birth. Gregorian chants, her father a former priest in training, and jazz piano steeped into her young mind. Loving parents guided her gifts with an upbringing that included the Kodaly school of music and by age 9 she was performing with the Opera Australia Children's Chorus. Gracing the stage of the Sydney Opera house while most of us were still learning that basics of pitch and scale.

Opera was her launchpad, but a love of Fleetwood Mac, Kate Bush, and Wham! would influence her future artistry toward dreamy, electro-pop songwriting. After high school Johanna began the vocal jazz program at the Australian Institute of Music. After time exploring the world of live performance, Johanna was drawn to New York City. It was during her time as a studio engineer at the prestigious Nola Recording Studios she began writing and recording over 300 demos. These demos would pave the way for her first album and the shimmering sounds of her former project, Johanna and the Dusty Floor.

While crisscrossing the globe touring, with the likes of the Cranberries, Johanna's sound constantly evolved and distilled her vast inspiration into something all together new and breathtaking. Ethereal vocals fused with crystalline electro-pop chicness to become the sonic signature of White Prism. We at Kick Kick Snare are beyond proud to present the premiere of her new album "Open Heart Job". A delicate collection that transforms into a truly resolute musical experience with each subsequent listen.
