Watermat & TAI: Frequency

The French producer, Watermät, is the latest, up-and-coming underdog to throw his name into contention as one of the names to watch in the deep house realm. After delivering one of last summer’s biggest tracks in “Bullit,” which was played out at festivals around the world by the likes of Pete Tong and more, Watermät is continuing his run of dominance with his latest single, a collaboration with bass pundit, TAI.

Though the pairing of the Frenchman and Germany-based producer may seem odd at first glance, one listen through their track, “Frequency,” will quickly erase any doubts. The track opens with a fluttering piano melody that sets the foundation for a catchy vocal loop that quickly transitions into Watermät’s iconic, blaring horn synths and a piano-driven melody that drives the track forward.
