There is magic in this song. As it was playing, the always difficult but gotta-love-her-anyway Betty (my mail lady) knocked on my front gate and guess what she was carrying? My Coachella wristbands! Yesterday, the lazy postal pain in my ass left that tried-to-deliver USPS slip in my mailbox - all the while I was sitting in my damn living room. Not cool, Betty. That gesture was definitely not full of any kind of hearts. Maybe she was just trying to finish her shift in time en route to her own special midnight rendezvous. If cassette tapes or even CDs where a thing anymore, I'd make Betty a mixtape with Sam Feldt & The Him's "Midnight Hearts" as the lead. I bet if I did, I'd always get my mail - and maybe even a smile out of her.
